FashioNica first emerged in 2014 on platforms such as Instagram, YouTube, and TikTok in 2020, where Nica Yusay shared insights into women's fashion. As the brand evolved, it shifted focus to designer handbags, leveraging social media to sell authentic vintage pieces through various third-party platforms. Despite high operational costs, Nica managed to save $15,000 from her corporate job to fund her acquisitions, selecting handbags that personally resonated with her aesthetic, regardless of their market demand.


Her exceptional taste and keen market insight generated significant interest on social media. Driven by her passion, Nica dedicated herself entirely to the venture beyond her day job as a Digital Marketing Brand Manager. With the support of her fiancé, Quang Che, they launched www.shopfashionica.com in July 2021, creating a dedicated online store.


Introducing "The Bag Drop"


This online platform introduced "The Bag Drop," a pivotal feature linking social media to direct sales. An hour before each weekly event, Nica hosts a live session to showcase and discuss the handbags available for purchase at 7:00 p.m. PT every Wednesday. This exclusive event features brands such as Hermes, Chanel, and Louis Vuitton, with products selling out within minutes, reflecting the brand's growing appeal and success.


FashioNica's online community has flourished, now boasting hundreds of thousands of followers across platforms like Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, and Whatnot, transforming the venture into a profitable enterprise. Under Nica's leadership as CEO and Quang's expertise as CFO and CTO, the company has scaled into a multi-million dollar business.

Nica's fashion journey began in childhood, influenced by her experiences shopping in thrift stores as her single mother struggled financially. This instilled in her an eye for quality and value, which she has carried into her entrepreneurial career, culminating in the creation of a multi-million dollar enterprise.
